SPIKELab
Description :
SPIKELab®
is an acquisition and signal processing software intended for Spikes. It includes features like FFT Analysis, waveform saving and so on.
16 channels (designed for
use with the National Instruments Card model 6023-E). Configurable voltage and
time base. A configurable trigger. Mode, level, channel trigger and others parameters
can be adjust to acquire the events. Acquired block of data can
be viewed in a number of different formats. Data can be saved in either
a proprietary format to conserve disk space or in a text mode for
importation into other software packages. Specific filter for spike
acquisition (bandpass filter with a
low cutoff frequency of 300 Hz and high cutoff frequency of 6 kHz and a order 4).
The filter type is a
Butterworth Filter. It is characterized by a smooth response at all
frequencies and a monotonic decrease from the specified cutoff
frequencies. Butterworth filters are maximally flat-the ideal response of
unity in the passband and zero in the stopband. The
advantage of Butterworth filters is a smooth, monotonically decreasing
frequency response. After you set the cutoff frequency,
BIOLOGGER® Acquisition Tools sets the steepness of the
transition proportional to the filter order. Higher order Butterworth
filters approach the ideal lowpass filter response.
Load View: This tool permits to load a file to see in the graph
and to adjust the several scale. Report View: Users can generate reports with information about the experiment (Date,Experiment description, etc.)
and acquisition plot. FFT View: In this windows, users can see Fast Fourier Transform of one channel.
User can select several parameters: display (dB o Linear), window (None, Hamming, etc.) and unit (Vrms, Vpk, etc.).
